How does the Trip Approval feature work?

This feature allows you to add an approver to a trip, so they can approve or reject a booking. If they approve it, the trip will be published and sent out to the traveler.
For this to work, you will need to add an approver to the trip. When you push the trip, the approver will receive a confirmation email so they can approve or reject.
Sending a trip approval for a trip you created manually:
1. The Trip Approval won’t work on a published trip, since it’s already been approved. You would need to go to a draft OR create a new trip and not publish it.
2. When creating the trip, add your travelers and the approver (you can select that role from the drop-down menu).
3. Select “Approval Required” and click “Save Draft”. Afterwards, a “Send Approval Request” button will show up below “Save Draft”. Once you click that button, an email will go to the approver for them to Approve or Reject the trip. If they approve, the trip will be published.
You can see all the approval requests in the “Trips” > “Trip Approval Requests” section of your CMS.
Sending a trip approval via GDS or API:
Details on how to do this with API or GDS can be found in mTrip’s GDS/API documentation.
If you do not have access to that documentation, please reach out to your sales representative or the mTrip support team.
